Our Lips Meet at the Horizon.

November 8, 2017
For him.

Our lips meet at the horizon

Fireworks under the skin

Erupt

Ruptures emit beauty

From the cracked, horrible spaces

Where only pain used to bloom

Where we lurked and hid for centuries

All pretense and hiding stops now

All alchemizes

When your lips touch mine

And I die in your embrace

And I come back to life in your kiss

Because we are fire

And together

It's catastrophic

Only to the lies we are living

To the ways we haven't be living up to who we really are

Lips infecting bodies with the truth

Truth

Drips like ecstasy

And it hurts too

Thunderbolts to our stagnancy---

We have to wake up.

And so we do.

And I love you

And you love me

The sky reaches down swiftly to love the green earth

The earth reaches up boldly to meet the watery, pastel sky

And our lips meet at the horizon

Fate blazes

Tears drip from knowing so hard

You are not mine

But you are for me

And I am for you.

It's ancient

We can't stop knowing it.

It's a chapter we opened long ago

And it can't be closed.

And it's time to wake up.

It's time to wake up.

The horizon looks calm,

But it's fire

Like us.

And we have to wake up now.
